K3 SysPro’s Payroll module is designed to provide maximum flexibility combined with ease of use for organisations needing an effective solution to the complex task of payroll administration. Equator is continually developed to reflect the latest statutory changes as they are introduced.

  • Payroll data is checked and assessed on an annual basis with HMRC
  • Payroll eliminates the need to retain detailed knowledge of the ever changing rules associated with PAYE, OSPP, ASPP, SAP, SPP, SMP, NIC, Student Loans, Attachment of Earnings and Pension Auto Enrolment. It incorporates electronic filing capabilities by the internet for all mandatory returns
  • Allocate and move employees between companies/departments
  • Retain Payroll history for an unlimited period and all retained history may be viewed or reported directly in the system
  • Individual employees can be processed separately and modified as many times as required. The pre-list report enables you to check employees’ build-up prior to processing. When there are ‘across-the-board’ changes such as tax code updates, pension details, percentage pay increases and alterations to pay/bonus rates, the Global Update feature makes it easy.

Anything that can be done on our customer facing platforms can be done using our API. With our API you can:

  • create company details and pension scheme set up
  • create advisers, used for firms managing many schemes
  • set up new employees or update existing employee details
  • submit pre-calculated pension contributions, or contributions to be assessed
  • update existing and unpaid contributions
  • get employee membership / opt out states
  • postpone individual employees
  • send assessment and other statutory letters
  • send batch requests for multiple payrolls or creating multiple schemes

Medium – everything light integration offers, plus retrieve opt outs/opt ins and percentage increases

What it costs

There’s no charge to connect to our API. However, you need to support your own development costs when integrating with our API.

Excel and CSV

This payroll platform supports Excel and CSV upload. The process involves you manually filling in an Excel template or CSV template that we provide. You then upload it to the Smart Pension assessment tool. We run the assessment and calculate the pension contributions for you.

API through middleware

Some providers such as Pensionsync, AE Exchange and Aeclipse provide a bridge between your payroll software and Smart Pension. You'll need to create an account and pay the middleware provider, though this is usually only a few pounds per month.

If you're already using a Employment Hero PensionSync enabled payroll package, you can pass data directly to Smart Pension today regardless of whether you are an auto enrolment customer or a Workplace customer.
